Steve's Park Working Bee

Dunedin Equinox Inc.

After 6 months of slumming it in town the Dunedin Equinox Crew finally found themselves back in Lawrence!
This time for a working bee to help Malcolm, the owner of the land and father of Steve, and his boys fell some old willows.

The park is immaculately kept as ever, the only real difference being the size of the sapling trees that were so small last time we were on site.
Everyone was pumping as Malcolm introduced us all to the various power tools he had on site, including but not limited to the digger, truck and the almighty log splitter.

We were amazed at how many of our trusty crew and volunteers who showed up and worked their asses off, cutting down trees, transporting logs, wielding chain saws and axes!
We were lucky enough to be feed by Malcolm's lovely family, who put on an amazing lunch both days we were out there, feeding all the troops and keeping moral high. But how could spirits drop? If you've ever been to Steve's Park, you know what I mean, if you haven't? You might have to make it out to Spring Equinox this year, because there is not a word I can say to do it justice!

We spent another couple of nights down at the old Scout Hall (Lawrence Headquarters), camping out like a 90's sleepover, minus the movies and pillow fights.

We couldn't ask for a better bunch of people, and even though there was the odd bump, nothing was broken and everyone went home in one piece! Thanks team!! Looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2 weeks!
